How Other People’s Shack Envy Can Reduce Your Income Insecurity
Ever see those beautiful hillside “shacks” in Los Angeles…? Perched on precarious precipices of properties… with stunning views and an array of amenities.
For many, it causes shack envy…
As in, I wish I had a shack like that so I could shack up with a smokin’ hot bae…
But it’s a mirage…
Because check out those shacks after torrential rains… when the result is a mudslide and mass millions of glass, splintered wood, and shattered dreams…
I typically have little sympathy for the homeowners… it’s downright douchebag-etry to put their family’s lives in danger… as well as their neighbors…
All because someone with the means to splurge on such a shack...
Was too cheap to to practice good planting or landscaping habits so the home was on a firmer, more fortified foundation… with more stability… more security…
And less vulnerability when an unforeseen whim of Nature lets loose.
It’s not dissimilar to not preparing for any unexpected whim or reason or bad intention you get the LO Virus…
i.e., the Lay Off Virus
Or to not reducing your vulnerability as a biz owner or freelancer to the whims of the economy or the consequences of flimsy, feeble government actions, policy, etc.
Of course, those whims or actions or decisions may be less random than you think, but since you ain’t in that club, they just seem arbitrary.
But that’s a discussion for another day.
However, here’s what’s for today:
Reduce your vulnerability to a “biz-slide”… Decrease your chances of ending up mocked for not taking the steps to improve and fortify your biz surroundings.
In other words, to avoid being a biz douchebag, be prepared.
To do that, you need to have Ad Intentions…
